Finding Worth in the Middle of the Earth: April 1st – #Easter

On this day I am reminded not only of the sacrifice of our Savior but of the meaning that it holds. So many times in today’s society we recognize that the ability to love and be selfless is lost among us. However, this spiritual leader gave his life so that we all may have the opportunity to live a life free of sin and pain. Unfortunately, achieving this in our lives have been a difficult task due to our own issues. The work that we must be willing to put in is the reflection upon ourselves and the spiritual work involved in that. This week I am working on something different in my approach and in the way I pray and praise.

There are some things in my life that I must be willing to sacrifice in order to achieve and reach what God has for me. Calvary is the symbol of sacrifice and the unconditional love of Christ, meant to represent the love that Jesus had for us. Although this post is crafted towards those in Christian leaning belief systems, the message to take from this is that we all need to be more giving and willing to sacrifice things for the greater good. What are we willing to do for each other? Are we willing to do what is necessary so that not only our needs are met but those of the ones we love? Today I ask that you not only reflect on the sacrifice of Christ but his resurrection. Just like in our own lives we must be willing to sacrifice our old self and be prepared for the resurrection of our spiritual being.

Finding Worth in the Middle of the Earth : 08.20.2017

I’ve had this mantra that I’ve been repeating to myself, day by day…

Finally…. I’ve taken that first step towards something. The something that will make a difference in my life and afford me the balance and the passion that I’ve searched for.

All in God’s timing is what I tell myself, I have to remain patient and wait on this blessing. I know it’s going to be difficult and stressful but what in life worth having isn’t. I see the light, I feel like I have a plan I can stick to and a plan that I can actually achieve. Goals. We all have them, we all fight for them, for that dream to become fruition. This may not be my dream but it is a step towards that. And for that I am grateful. I’ve had this mantra I’ve been repeating to myself all week, day by day….

Spiritual Journey: Searching

Searching…searching for the peace that passes all understanding in the midst of fog. The world we live in has been plagued with the darkness that we have launched ourselves in, the pain that we know all to well. Are we ready for this searching to end or will it ever end? This spiritual journey is not paved with easiness but with obstacles that we all most overcome in order to be spiritually connected to God, to each other, to ourselves.  Faith is something that we all struggle with, when faced with the many challenges in life, we cannot give up but instead be encouraged. Encourage not only yourself but others to stick to this journey. We are all facing things that could break us but it won’t because searching for that peace means that we haven’t decided to give up just yet.
