Time

When the clock begins to tick and tock

Things around the world turn to rock

Oh, stop time for you’re going too fast

I want to make this life last

I wish to take journeys not yet seen

Oh, time your insolence is so mean

Time is leaving me now

As it waves its hands, I begin to smile

Then I drown my hopes and fears in the endless sea of time

Is my time up?

Touching Individual Moments Every-day

Time has made me whole

Even though I hear pestilential cries

I hold my head up high

For in the nick of time again

I’ve been saved from this endless troublesome time of sin

Time, you change your ways so much

You work against me and then for me

Time, what I am afraid of and what I fear

Is when the time is no longer here

Peace and Love,

Can We Start Over?

Can we start over? Can we begin again?

Has my light shown itself to sin?

Where are you? Where is my trust in you?

Who in the hell do you think you are?

To come into my life and try to leave a mark.

To lie to me, to cry to me.

If this is love then I want a refund

It’s no longer fun, it’s no longer us.

Where is the trust?

Where is the person I thought I knew?

The person I could tell anything to.

The person that never judged me but instead trusted me, loved me and held me.

Where is this person?

You asked me, Can we start over?

Shit, I don’t know.

Can you take back the lies or the tears I had to cry?

My hope for us and my hope for you is that we can try.

The trust we had I no longer pursue.

Can we start over? Can we begin again?

Have I shown my light to you again?

Has my light shown itself to sin?

Peace and Love,

P.s. This is art and does not reflect a current moment in my life.

The Enemy’s Games

Oh how the enemy loves to play their games

Trapping us at the moment when we go insane

For that second or 3, we have given them the power over us

Power over our attitude and actions

Although we can only blame ourselves by letting the enemy get that close

The enemy will go to any lengths and that is what hurts the most

No matter the detriment no matter the cost

The enemy plays with our minds and our hearts

Attempting to scramble them and tear us apart

Why do we give this power to someone we don’t know?

Are we afraid to give the power back to ourselves?

Be strong in the times that the enemy perceives us as weak

All we can do is pray that the hand doesn’t land on the other cheek

Pray that the mistakes the enemy catches us in, won’t destroy our joy

Pray and decide to never let the enemy win again

Oh how the enemy loves to play their games

They won’t win this time

I have the upper hand, the royal flush, the ace in the hole

Enemy, you won’t win my soul.

Fly off the Mountain

Feel the breeze blowing under your arms, imagine giving into it.

You don’t have to stay where you are, you are only limited by the cement that you pour on your feet.

Instead of allowing that to prevent you from taking that step, maybe choose to fly.

Maybe choose you, for once in your life.

Lift the weights that hold down your arms, that hold down your mind.

Maybe choose you, maybe fly off the mountain.

Peace and Love,

Rocky Bridges

Can We Make it Across?

Tumbling stones slamming against the trail that we attempt travel.

Journeying through this mountain together understanding that there will be some obstacles in our path.

We come across a bridge that tests our strength and balance.

Can we make it across? What is it that stops us from trying?

Is it fear?

Fear of knowing that if we try we won’t succeed or fear that we will.

You have to try because we can’t keep playing around on these rocky bridges.

Falling For You

Falling for you was easy but falling wasn’t the plan.

A Plan to fly and float failed.

A realization that I couldn’t fly or float if I wasn’t willing to fall.

You have shown me love that works for me.

Even in the hard times, I recognize the importance of a late night phone call.

What’s better than being able to fly and fall at the same time?

You being in my arms and I in yours recalling how life was before we had it all.

Falling for you feels like fountains flooding with love.

Love flowing through and in between mountain peaks.

Lead me to your fountain so that my love can flood you.

Falling for you, falling fast, falling forever.

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Spend time with the one(s) you adore. ❤️😉

Unanswered

You say that you want to change?Release yourself from the chains? Free your mind from the pain? Release your body from the strain? Then why does this plague you so? What does it benefit you if you choose to not let it go? What peace could you know ? Have you asked yourself these questions? Have you learned these lessons? Or are you still waiting to answer them?

#ThankfulThursday

They are not measured by material things…

Thankful, for my blessings. They are not measured by material things. Instead the intangible blessings God gives me everyday. That is what I am grateful for.

Thankful, for my family. Loved ones that are near and far. Friends that are still here and those that are no longer friends. I am thankful for the ability to love my enemies.

Thankful, for my spirit. It is at peace with the things that I cannot control and longing for more power to change the things I can. Strength to travel a journey that has been trotted before but gain new insight and experience.

Thankful, for God. He is my everything and the reason of Thanksgiving.

Peace and love to you and yours this holiday,

Michael Anthony

Cry Out: Trees

…cry out to be free.

Roots attach yourself to the Earth from which you’re planted and create life that is dwindling. Let the rain hit your leaves and fall down to the ground in which you are rooted. Giving you life and the ability to grow. Touch the sky as you are the natural skyscraper. Longing to stand , to bend, to branch out. We are like these trees crying out to live and to grow. We are a force of our own wanting to cry out. Cry out because of the violence, the negative changes that affect you daily, and cry out to be free.

Flight in Flattened Places

Wings catch the wind and be released. Take to the sky as you are lifted from the places that hold you down to them. The places that wish to keep you stationery. Take flight as though lightning trails behind. Fly not from the fear of what is to come but from the fear of not flying.
